The STIHL Oilomatic lubrication system is designed to reduce friction and wear in the cutting attachment, helping to extend the service life of the guide bar and saw chain.
Chain oil is directed through fine oil channels in the drive links to the chain joints and running faces. Small oil reservoirs on both sides of the drive links help maintain a continuous lubricating film between the chain and the guide bar rails. This supports smooth chain travel and dependable cutting performance.
For reliable lubrication and longer component life, use a high-quality chain and bar lubricant and check the oil level regularly during operation.
